Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours

If you need to see a doctor urgently outside of surgery hours or at anytime over a weekend or a Bank Holiday when the surgery is closed please telephone 111. 

Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both land lines and mobiles

Alternatively view NHS 111 website which offers free expert, up to date health information and advice 24 hours a day

For those patients who have difficulties communicating or hearing you can:
– call 18001 111 on a textphone

– use the NHS 111 British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter service

NHS Walk In Centre

If you cannot wait for a non-urgent appointment during surgery opening times you can attend the Walk In Centres at:

Parkfield Road
Parkfields
Wolverhampton
WV4 6ED

The Phoenix Centre is open between 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The Walk In Centre, based at Parkfield Road, Wolverhampton, offers on-the-spot treatment (without an appointment) and advice for minor health problems, illness, ailments and injuries. You are able to ‘walk in’ during the centre’s opening hours.

From the 1st of April 2016 Out Of Hours Centre (previously at Phoenix Centre) / Walk in Centre (previously Showell Park Centre ) has now moved to the:

Urgent Care Centre based at 1st Floor Emergency Department at New Cross Hospital.

Please ring 111 if you need any medical advice and you will be directed appropriately according to your clinical condition

Non-urgent advice: Emergencies – A&E/Call 999

Whatever the day or time, if you or someone else experiences severe chest pain, loss of blood or suspected broken bones, go to your nearest accident and emergency department or call 999.

If you need immediate attention for a life threatening condition then you should dial 999 for an ambulance.
